In case of application for the reissuance of Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate etc. in respect of a deceased relative registrar’s  Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate etc. is given.

Who is entitled to get registrar’s Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate etc.?

Relatives and heirs of the deceased person, if they have documents proving their kinship or an authorized person acting on their behalf under Power of Attorney.

What are financial costs incurred in documents reissuance?

The amount of a state duty is:
for issuance of duplicate Birth Certificates or Marriage Certificates – 6.5 USD;
for discovery of Birth Certificates or Marriage Certificates from the CIS countries  -3.5 USD;
for discovery of Birth Certificates or Marriage Certificates from foreign countries except CIS countries -6.5 USD.

What documents are required to obtain historical records?

application for issuance of duplicate Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Divorce Certificate, Paternity (Maternity) Certificate, Adoption Certificate, Death Certificate, Full name change Certificate based on the type of document which must be obtained;
identity document (passport – for foreign citizens);
a document confirming payment of state duty;
a notarized Power of Attorney, in case the representative applies for (such Power of Attorney must be translated into Kazakh and Russian ​​with a translator’s signature authenticity notarized by Kazakhstan notaries);
documents confirming kinship with the person in whose respect the document is requested.

How to find the document on marriage, birth registration etc., if the exact date is unknown?

Information is searched by registers for the year indicated in the application, as well as for the two previous and two subsequent years from the year of civil registration specified in the application. If it is not specified, the information of the past five years is checked.

When the person applies for individually or its representative applies for under Power of Attorney he/she must provide the following documents:
application for apostillation;
identity document (passport – for foreign citizens);
document to be apostilled;
a document confirming payment of state duty;
notarized Power of Attorney, in case the service receiver representative applies for;
sample of a signature and seal of the documents issued by other government authorities.
