Mr. Sukhoterin [pronounced soo-hoe-tare-in] practices in Astana, Kazakhstan, and specializes in contract, tax, corporate, commercial and family law and disputes.

Maxim Sukhoterin was born in August, 27th, 1980 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan.

In 2001 he graduated from law department of the Karaganda State University with honors. In 2006 he has gained the diploma of the master of law.

He has length of service more than 15 years.

In the past 14 years of his legal career, Mr. Sukhoterin worked as the general counsel for Kazchermet Group, and was a partner at RS & Partners Law Firm in Kazakhstan. He has argued cases before courts of all levels in Kazakhstan, including the Supreme Court.

Mr. Sukhoterin is a skilled lobbyist. He believes that fundamental legal problems, which are often encountered by enterprises in the course of doing business, should be addressed in the legislative and executive branches of the government, where system flaws can be repaired. As the deputy chairman of the Kazakhstan Metals Recycling Association, Mr. Sukhoterin advocated for innovative changes to the scrap metals recycling laws. He contributed to amendments to the metals recycling laws and regulations drafted by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Industry and New Technology.
