In 2002, he graduated from the Law Faculty of the D.A. Kunayev University, specializing in “jurisprudence”.

From 2002 to 2003, he worked as a teacher at the Department of State and Legal Disciplines of the Karaganda branch of the D.A. Kunayev University.

Lawyer Ivan Vladimirovich Omarov has extensive practice in conducting criminal cases both at the stage of inquiry and preliminary investigation, and in all judicial instances. Among the high-profile cases:

— 2008 — a high-profile case of causing serious bodily harm to a cafe visitor in Shakhtinsk as a result of hooliganism, which resulted in the death of the victim (defense attorney for the injured party): initially, the district court sentenced the guilty parties: one — suspended, the other — 5 years of imprisonment and refused to recover material and moral damages, however, after the supervisory authority overturned the judicial decisions (the appellate authority left the sentence unchanged) and sent the case back to the court of first instance for a new trial, both guilty parties were sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment and each was ordered to pay one million tenge;

— 2010 — a high-profile case of a large organized criminal group engaged in false entrepreneurship in Karaganda (defense attorney for one of the organizers at the pre-trial stage), which ultimately ended with the release of all participants without a sentence;

— 2012 — a high-profile case of an attack on police officers (defended the suspect), which ultimately ended with a punishment not related to imprisonment;

— 2013-2014 — a case of large-scale “cashiers” in Karaganda (defended one of the defendants), which ultimately ended with the charges being dropped on 32 of 33 counts, the remaining count being reclassified as a minor offense (Article 190-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan) and the criminal case being terminated due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

He has repeatedly sought to have the measure of restraint in the form of arrest cancelled, and has extensive experience in defending witnesses, suspects and defendants in economic and other crimes.

In addition, lawyer Ivan Omarov successfully participated in the consideration of administrative and civil cases in all judicial instances, including the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including debt collection, recognition of transactions as invalid, establishment of paternity, division of property, etc.
